Common questions

Questions about holiday cards that support your school

How does this support my school?

Families order the holiday photo cards they would send anyway, and your school is preselected as the nonprofit organization their order benefits. As a company, we commit to giving 50% of our after-tax profits to benefit the nonprofit organizations our customers choose, proportional to those sales.

What does this cost our school?

Nothing. There are no order forms to collect, no inventory to buy and no minimum your school has to meet. You share a link; GivingPrints handles printing, envelopes and delivery.

Are families making a donation to our school?

No. Families are buying a product — holiday photo cards — not making a personal donation, so their purchase is not tax-deductible for them. The giving is done by GivingPrints, from our after-tax profits.

Does our school need to be on Pledge?

The school does not need to be pre-registered with Pledge. But doing so gives you the opportunity to upload your logo, update your description, and expedite delivery of funds. An EIN is necessary to send out a link that pre-selects your school. If Pledge does not list you yet, you can ask Pledge to add your organization.

When does our school receive the money?

GivingPrints sends all of its giving through Pledge, which handles the payout to each organization. Keeping your school’s details current on Pledge helps funds reach you without delay.

What makes GivingPrints different from other holiday card campaigns?

If you’ve done a holiday card campaign before, the card company likely gave you a promo code to share with your families. But then the company floods the market with better promo codes that incentivize customers to not use yours — promo codes that don’t give back to anyone. Once a customer visits GivingPrints using your link, your organization is preselected, and changing it removes their 15% discount.
